PROJECT LAGOS
We want to see Yasutaka Tsutsui’s “Lagos of the Journey” directed by Yorgos Lanthimos.
That idea became an unofficial adaptation proposal with a six-episode structure, production and distribution possibilities, character notes, and a mock cover for an English edition. It is one fan’s attempt to describe the version they would genuinely want to watch.

“Lagos of the Journey” follows Lagos, a man who spends his life traveling, and the people he meets along the way. Again and again he lives among others, takes on a role, and eventually leaves to continue his journey.
This project gives concrete form to one fan’s wish to see the story directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. It asks what might happen if the novel met his filmmaking style, then develops that thought into a six-episode structure and possible production routes.
